Boy, am I glad to hear that it wasn't me. I couldn't get it to work either.
Brenda was totally worthless and I dealt with their president as well. I
tried it once and cancelled at the end of 30 days. During that 30 day
period, I found that their S&P Continuous contract was wrong, and worked
with Tim to get it fixed. I found they were clueless when it came to
futures. I kept in contact with them for a period of time and then tried it
again. I even went and paid for an extra month since I couldn't figure out
how they could be so fouled up.
In my case, if I tried downloading daily, it wouldn't work. If I skipped a
day or two and then ran the download, it usually worked. They were never
able to figure out what was happening. When I asked Equis about it, their
response was that Dial Data knew what the problem was. Unfortunately I
wasn't using Dial Data (to my knowledge). They never got it to work at all.
I waited for QP2 to add futures and went to a manual input mode for a while
when CServe dropped their service.
My brother switched to Reuters only after they went through their bad
service period (which we managed to miss). I followed since I got tired of
waiting for QP to add futures. So far, we've only had one problem with
them. Next stop will be QP as I've been impressed with all of the positive
comments about them. Also CSI has received excellent reviews as well.

I was initially attracted to Prophet because they offer historical equities
options data, which I was trying to research. They even tacked on a second
free month to the trial, but nothing about their service worked for me. I
really don't understand how a company that does nothing right manages to
stay in business. Guess somebody musta found something they like.
If you find a good source of options data, please let me know.
