many others, I have completed my first spread sheet</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>that calculates daily projected levels. My
next project will be to calculate these levels for multiple time</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>frames (weekly, Monthly, etc.) To do this I need
the general logic for determining the start of a new time</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>period such as a new week or new month from my
imported data that is in "DTYYYYMMDD" form.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Is this possible?</FONT></DIV>

be to determine the time periods high, low and close.</FONT></DIV>

for that matter makes<BR>too often 'unexpected' moves. Draw downs are than also
to be expected.<BR>The only one thing left, that one can do, is to try to

made a XLS table (see part2)<BR>that shows some of the followed subjects signals
of late and a complete<BR>'diamantiferous' history of their generated pos or neg

<DIV><FONT size=2>Keep in mind that I have explained before that my system is
not a trading system<BR>full stop, for that it lags(4-7 days) the Price too
much, but it is a mechanicaly computed,<BR>eg a without human interferance, New
Trend Momentum temperature measurer.<BR>It sure is tradeable, but the best is
that it will also come with the least as possible<BR>amount of wipsaws and it
measures if there is a positive tendency or negative tendency<BR>in/for the
underlay. Very important, if once in a certain position, and the
sentiment<BR>'around you' or 'around the exchange' tells you

<DIV><FONT size=2>Note that the table is 'hypothetical', since it is difficult
to get the same values when<BR>you have to put in your order, equal to the level
that is given here when a signal gets triggered.<BR>Eg., usualy after the
exchange is closed, a signal is triggered and then the next<BR>day's values can
be much higher or lower. But it will give an overall a good impression<BR>of its
usefullness in trading(lesser) or protecting/investing(much better) one's
positions or in desciding<BR>if there is solid trend ground for taking in a (to
the upside) position.<BR></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>The portfolio in the table is 'hypothetical' as well, eg it's
based on some of the in the regular send<BR>report's mentioned international
indexes. Now we all know how 'important' these bunch can be for<BR>measuring the
overall "temperature".<BR>Currently the DAX(and therefore the €URO STOXX 50) is
truly peaking, oppose to S&P+Dow<BR>correcting (therefore, I cannot see a
heavy correction(-50%) going to take place in the US indices).<BR></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>They have all started out at or around 19990520, eg the time
of the first report-mailings.<BR>The GREYed area is where the current results
are. Well in the plus, eg 80% profit when<BR>Investing and 35% when Trading.
{Investing is only to the Upside, Trading is both to the Upside<BR>as well as to

In Excel
-separate each data column by comma's except at the end right of your last column
-place the ASCII columns header on the first row
{for an Excel header do not use: -the two <> greater/smaller then characters
-the comma's
-the Name, Per, Vol columns {when used, Volume should be written in full}
<TICKER>,<NAME>,<PER>,<DATE>,<OPEN>,<HIGH>,<LOW>,<CLOSE>,<VOL>,<O/I>
(omit any not required columns, eg 1 column's header is <myheader>, {note the comma})
-Delete any blanc rows at the bottom {that is if they've been used before}
-Save As the spreadsheet/workbook as follows
-to Convert from Excel to MetaStock : in Excel 4.0 {single sheet} format
-to Convert from ASCII to MetaStock : in TXT or PRN text format (txt = tab delimitted
and prn = space delimited)
-using Excel format in DL will not Convert multiple tickers, eg single ticker files only
-using ASCII formats (txt,prn,asc) will Convert multiple tickers
-Open Word or another proper Text editor
In Word
-double click the blanc white spaces between the columns
-click Edit|Copy
-click Edit|Replace
-Click and Put the mousepointer in the "Find:" small box and hit CTRL+V on your keyboard
{this will put a copy off the TAB field here}
-Leave the "Replace by:" small box as is
-Click "Replace all" button
-check out if at the bottom of file there aren't any blanc lines {see Excel above}, eg the
mousepointer should blink on/off at the most right columns last record row(line)
-click X at the top right of the window to close the window
-when asked to save changes click YES
-Start the Downloader and Convert
