All the info can be found at Euroland's STOXX website
http://www.stoxx.com

You will have to dig deeper into this web-site, as there are many sitepages, and
many Indexes to be maintained.

However, and if I remember correctly, the Indexes' underlying stocks are also
maintained (Close only) and are also available for download, eg either in htm format
or in the csv(xls) format (go to the Download Desk).

The moment the 8 major (european) Exchanges finaly virtualy merge to create a market
in the 300 largest companies-announcement will become effective, then trading+following
these stocks will become of a much lesser worysome endavor (eg for at the moment
there are still Exchange-fees involved, payable by datavendors, for distributing any of their
Exchange-data, and from their now virtual merging attempts, these fees will then reach
much lower levels, making it easier and interesting enough to distribute them widely, eg
the Exhanges for their business will only benefit in € as these stocks will become more
popular by their provided attentention, eg distributing these stocks' daily Price levels).

If you are intrested into exchanging historical data for the in the (EURO) STOXX 50
index comprising companies, then do send me an email privatly.
