securities=Dat/Dop files + the Master/Emaster files

charts=MWC
templates=MWT

As far as I understand your question and the way Metastock deals
with securities(eg the base securities files Dat and Dop), and the way to
scroll trough your Charts(eg the physical Charts) would, in your case,
require for you to fall back into the standard Win95 File|Open routine
and not a Metastock File|Open routine.
Since your Metastock Charts(the physical) are a by Win95 recocqnised
and registered File Type, double clicking any of the Files(eg your Charts)
would have them to be Opened and being displayed by the rightiouys
assigned program(eg Metastock).

There are a few things to be considered here, tho:
A.-the more files that are Actively Opened the more system resources are being
     used, and this could lead into a bad system operation envirement (eg finaly
     leading into a program crashing(s). Reason #1 for this is found in the GUI
     (graphical user interface) sources' memory shortage.
B.-Equis Support have send a workaround to the List sometime ago, named
     <Scrolling through a List of Charts> if I remember correctly and this "List"
     can be setup in the following manner :

1.-Open all of the physicaly created Charts, eg those Charts that you would like
     to be included in the Layout
2.-Click New|Layout
3.-Now Select -in the Add Dialog Window's left pane window- all the Charts
     that are mentioned in the List (on the left), eg the "Charts to be Included"
4.-Then Click Add
     This will then have a new Layout being created, included with your 'own' Charts
     (and note that you can always Open other Charts, run the Add-routine over again,
     to Add more Charts to this Layout, by later Saving As the Layout again) and
     by Saving As as a layout as file Type, then on Opening this Layout you are able
     to scroll through your "own", eg the by yourself created, Charts.

This is a kind of a rough way to do Chart Scrolling, but it will work.
