Hi,
I've been lurking on this list for about 8 months now, and have been using
Stockwiz Pro/iSoft to get my EOD data for about 9 months for $US10/mth.
Joining fee is now $200 (soon to be $700) and includes a couple of years of
data and their StockWiz program. Demos & free trial data is available.
Each night there are 2 downloads available, splits, fundamentals, indices,
Canadian stocks, and a very powerful & fast language built into the
stockwiz program if you choose to use it. - or you can just download the
every US stock as a zipped Ascii file in about 1 minute.
There were some teething problems with the program about 6 months ago while
they converted from DOS to Windows 32bit format - to be expected - but now
downloading & getting data into Metastock is just a few mouse clicks - or
you can automate it. (The program can export data over any range of days &
stocks into the metastock format for the Downloader.)
I have not had any problems accessing the site and no problems with the
data.

While I'm here I would also like to thank everyone for the way you share
information. I have learned a lot from my lurking & look forward to be able
to contribute sometime.
Cheers from New Zealand
