Re: Symbol List

I am just getting into this little project because I have had a busy
summer... I want to rejuvenate this thread with a few questions...

1) Is the 9500 symbols the entire metastock database...

2) What percentage would that be on the market...

3) I noticed on the group hold down menu that the sp600 and russell 2000
were not include, but are they included when I select all

4) I noticed a few people reduced the 9500 to popular indexes like the
sp500... is it worth it to download the 9500 or download by groups in the
pull down menu...

5) Do you consider OTC nasdaq in the pull down group menu...

6) What is the criteria to have the 9500 symbols and not 20000 in the three
stock exchanges...

7) Are most people downloading their stocks this way...

8) Why isn't the sp600 or the russell2000 broken down... would their be too
many duplicates...

9) What did people do when they first started this process of
downloading... Did you wipe out all the data collected before and started
new...

10) Are most downloading all or are you downloading by separate groups...

11) Is this list updated by Metastock every month and do you refresh the
data every month...

12) When you get the new list every month, do you overlay the existing list
and wipe out the data you have collected thus far...

13) Is there a limitation on the number of symbols I can keep in a
directory... Are people splitting up the 9500 symbols to different
directories...

14) Since I have already built the sp 4, 5, 600, DJ65.... should I download
it separately instead of choosing to download "all"...
