Dear Pavel,
You need to calm down as everything is OK and let me explain why:
First of all, support is responding to all your enquiries.
We however do not experience such problem, therefore support
is first trying to determine your configuration or any other local
problem that you may have. We will continue looking into your individual
problem and as soon as the reason is found and pinpointed, we could fix it.
That's pretty normal way of doing things:
a) reproduction of the problem on our end
b) isolation of the problem (where and why it happens?)
c) location in the code
d) fix
We are currently at stage a) with you. The support channel will continue
working with you to solve any problem you may have.
Second thing, the company is in perfect shape. For me the recession
can take 5 years or more. In fact after short drop in October, the sales make new records now,
probably because people find out that they can have superior software
for fraction of a price of other solutions. That's pretty normal that in tough times
people are more price-sensitive and enjoy the huge technical advantage of AmiBroker
at extremely fair price.
You are relatively new customer and you apparently
are not aware of the release cycle. Yes there are periods where new betas
are coming every week, but ...
AFTER official release (which happened in fact quite recently) I take a BREAK
from development activities.
So the sole reason for not having new betas recently is the fact that I
took BREAK from development to spend time with family (I may remind you
that there was Christmas, New Year holidays plus 2 week winter vacation season
for our children).
Yes, contrary to what somebody may think, I am a human, not robot,
so from time to time I take a break.
There are also activities that you don't see because they are not directed
to general public and happen behind the scenes. One of such activity
is creation of interface to one of the largest Polish brokerages.
Such moves are invisible to non-Polish users but contribute greatly
to growing user base and growing cash flow.
So relax a bit and cheer up.

Subject: [amibroker] Why Amibroker support is not responding
Dear Tomash,
I have got few questions about Amibroker support and volume bars
1. at the beginning of January I reported a problem regarding
incorrect creation of volume bars to the official support eMail
address. I consider this problem as very important because it
touches a basic real-time charting functionality in Amibroker. I
had got a quick reply that someone was going to replicate the
problem, however, since that time I have not heard anything even
though I urged this already two times. Also on 16th of January I
logged this problem (#1669) into the "Amibroker Feedback Center".
Unfortunately, this site seems to be abandoned (by Amibroker staff)
since end of December. In my desperation I had to move my intraday
activities to Multicharts. This situation together with not updated
information on the Amibroker web page and pause in releasing new
updates (I got used to see new releases every week 8-) ) obviously
suggests to me as a customer that something is going on in the
company. Here are the questions:
- is the company ok and when can we expect next release?
- what is the current status of Amibroker support?
- is anyone looking into "Amibroker Feedback Center"?
2. I am attaching the reported problem and will appreciate if
someone can look into it.
in real-time volume chart 2500V for ES H9 I am experiencing very
strange behavior. When volume reaches 2500 it is supposed to create
a new volume bar, reset the volume to 0 and start adding volume
again for the new bar. What is happening is that it reaches 2500,
creates a new bar, volume goes to e.g.350 suddenly the new bar is
removed and volume for previous bar jumps back to e.g. 1700. This
happens multiple time for the same bar. Sometimes even two new bars
are created and than removed. This behavior is happening frequently
almost every bar. Certainly under such circumstances it is
impossible to trade volume charts. I noticed recently that the
volume is jumping even in the single bar so it goes e.g.
400,412,450,275,300,320,500,520,250,.
How to reproduce the problem:
1. data source = eSignal Real-Time Data
2. symbol ES H9
3. Volume Bars set to 2500
4. database source set to tick chart with max. allowed number of
data 500000
5. this gives me usually 2-3 days of history. Sometimes in heavy
volume days it provides 1,5 days of history. Note. I have changed
the registry to have max. allowed data set to 1,000,000. This gave
me another 2 days of data history so together 5 days.
6. Amibroker 5.2 R1 (offical release)
7. Windows Vista Business
Thank you and regards
Pavel
