The manual says that the global layout in the main directory will be
used if there is no local file. None of my databases have a
local .awl file in them. Would that be relevant?
I am also always curious to know all the ins and outs.
Some of the AB processes are hidden from us in that they are specific
to AB and not in the manual. It is very hard to figure that stuff out
on your own.
After doing my best and trying the forum I usually go to Marcin for
the AB answer (at least by that stage I can ask a well informed
question).
