It sounds like you used the US stock database from Ami's site, which 
is an example and not current.
jrswindle kindly provides an update from time to time.
I used his version in the last fortnight without any problems.

If that is the case look at message #109449 which covers the same 
subject to some extent and points to previous discussion on handling 
symbols without quotes.

I found approx 600/8000 symbols without data, which I deleted as they 
were 99.9% .ob stock with insufficient liquidity to trade anyway 
(unless you specialise in OTC trading).

Do you have a couple of examples of current symbols listed at Yahoo 
that AQ did not download?
I have never seen that.
Often the symbol is there but it has no historical data attached.
