Hello,

Actually every CPU from AMD and Intel currently being in production is 64-bit capable.
AMD is producing 64-bit CPUs since September 2003 !
AMD calls it AMD64 while Intel calls this capability EM64T.

Note however that AMD's implementation is faster than Intel's

The following processors implement the AMD64 architecture:
AMD K8
  a.. AMD Athlon 64
  b.. AMD Athlon 64 X2
  c.. AMD Athlon 64 FX
  d.. AMD Opteron
  e.. AMD Turion 64
f.. AMD Sempron (only 'Palermo' models using the E6 stepping)
Intel NetBurst (EM64T)
a.. Intel Xeon (some models since 'Nocona')
b.. Intel Celeron D (some models since 'Prescott')
c.. Intel Pentium 4 (some models since 'Prescott')
  d.. Intel Pentium D
  e.. Intel Pentium Extreme Edition
