Hi Graham,

Do you know if the sound (default beep) can be set to continue until
acknowledged? (BTW, yesterday I had no problem getting a .wav file
to play. I just could not stop it every time there was a cross and a
recross by the same symbol. I had the same symbols outputting to the
alertif window quite a number of times. So, I must have been doing
something right, anyway.)

The whole point of alertif, to me, is to save my eyes some wear and
tear. I don't need to be looking at the screen every second, and
might in fact, want to go to the ladies room, or to the kitchen, or
do any one of a number of other things.

It just might be that the sound of something else I was doing in
another room would mask the default beep at just the wrong moment,
and that I would never hear it. I could choose a .wav file that was
very long, I suppose.

If not, it would be nice if this function could be redesigned so
that, if a user desired, the user could set a sound to continue until
acknowledged. Not all users would want that of course, but I would
bet anyone all my capital right now that there would be plenty of
others who would like this capability.

Thanks,

Yuki
