Hi,
I use the following procedure:
1- Open a new AB database
2- Create a new market (p.e. NDX) with categories (Symbol menu)
4- Create a cvs file with ^NDX stocks (see Natasha reply)
5- Read carefully the AB import wizard help and import the first 2
columns (symbol and name)of the cvs file
6- If necessary use assignments organizer (symbol menu) to copy
imported symbols to market defined in 2), etc.
7- Use auto-update quotes (tools menu) to import historical data
from Yahoo. You can select the period in Amiquote menus.
8- Save the AB database
