Excellent write up on Sigma bands at this link .... 
Just scroll down... lots of info as to how to use and trade.   
Certainly not a mechanical system..... in fact no mention of mechanical anywhere 
on this site.  If you're a mechanical system trader.... you will not like 
this method.
