Cash 225 closed on the high, just short of 10,500. Cash Topix closed
well, but off the high. In the PM session, as I indicated earlier,
volume on a lot of issues dried up. Nonetheless, the Osaka Boyz
decided to keep Chinese water torture-type bidding pressure on the
futures. They were never able to get them to trade at the open of
10,500 in the PM session, but they got close toward the close, and
there was no challenge at all to the downside all afternoon. Anyone
shorting was kind of on the defensive, but certainly not routed.
After the cash closed however, the futures were taken right back down
to 450, closing there 440 bid.
Make of this what you will, I think I saw very controlled but very
persistent distribution at this level. Cash closes 0.4 percent above
the futures. Tomorrow is another day. ^_^
