Hi
OmniTrader 2004 rocks!
OT04 is a majot upgrade and VERY different then OT2003 which I agree with jnk1997
on beeing slow on RT(realtime). However it was fine on EOD. There were/are ways to
make the signals not to change and one has access to a lot of Trading Models and
strategies configurations.
I use it successfuly on e-minis - no problems with slowness on any time frame
dealing with 2 symbols only
There is also so called ARM plug in as an option( it was on OT03 - no idea what's up
with that now)
The prices ranges between $495 -$995 depending of the "Edition"
There is a very good and active board on their site.
Having said all of the above ( and I can go in a lot more) I think is not a replacement
of AB but a complementary product.
I use both with more weight on AB for scans and backtests.
I do some scans in OT and then use AB on intraday
My main use of OT is on e-minis and is doing a great job.
However my favoritefor intraday is not OT or AB but VisualTarder form the makers of
OT.
For stock selections AB is unbeateable and is my work horse in that.
I strongly advise if you already got OT to get AB also
if OT04 rocks AB rocks and roll.
The best around
Disclaimer ( I tried them all:)
