Steve,

Your solution works, but only if the exploration is
performed on a day the market traded. If Friday was the last day the market
traded and you perform your exploration over the weekend, you will get zero
hits.

Thanks,
Steve

  Hi,

  Try this for exploration:

  Filter = YourCond AND Datenem() ==
  Now(3);

    Graham, Jayson,

    Thanks for your help. I was able to partially
    solve the problem by using  Cond=LastValue(DateNum()) == 1031107. (
    Note that by changing the "==" to "!=" you can explore for issues that are
    no longer trading at that particular date.)  But, this seems like an
    inelegant solution since I have to remember to change the date each time I
    run the exploration. I was hoping there was a way I could store the
    EndValue(Datenum()) of a foreign issue such as a major index and compare it
    to each issue in the exploration and exclude those that don't match. Perhaps
    there is a way, I'll keep looking.

    Regards,
    Steve

      One thing would be to
      either delete non traded issues, or move them to a separate group or
      watchlist and use the AA filter to exclude
      <FONT
      face=Arial>
      Another would be to
      use the zero volumes, or last day traded
      and example
      is
      <FONT
      face=Arial>
      ExcludeCond =
      Valuewhen(V>0,datenum()) > 1030601;

        In some of my explorations I wish to ignore
        those issues that have stopped trading. I've tried a several approaches,
         but it appears I'm clueless. Could some kind person give me a hint
