Thanks Peter j, I have been able to work with what is available from
stideas.com (BTW you can see my email address in the reply posts
I've been making).
You can get ASX historical data from 1996 to last week at
http://stideas.com/ASX%20Historical%20Data.htm
and that's were I got my data from.
For the future I hope to be relying on QT and perhaps yahoo.
Up 'til now I've been using the (free) service of
http://www.incrediblecharts.com (ASX only) but I find this a bit
limited for me. I want something I can really "drive" and also
somewhat my responsive. I hope AB will fit the bill.
Can you tell me your opinion of how quick AB is when you've got it
loaded with a several thousand symbols and five years of data?
What CPU/RAM/disk do you have to run it on with such a database?
