Peter,
I would say that AmiBroker is faster than ANY other T/A program.
It is for sure much ( I mean many times) faster than Metastock, Tradestation,
Wealth-Lab in scanning, backtesting, explorations.
What's more it is getting even faster because is spend
looong hours with the profiler (the tool to measure program timing)
and tune every area as much as possible.
I am running 40000 EOD database with ease (QP2 data source).
