Australian Stock Exchange data for Amibroker

Hi guys,

I'm wondering if there are any Australian users of Amibroker out there?
If so, can anybody recommend a good way to get end-of-day data, ideally
without shelling out hundreds of dollars for a subscription!

The Amibroker helpfile suggests using the Australian finance.yahoo.com
with AmiQuote, but I seem to get some very strange data with that
method. For example, it seems to be pricing Telstra (TLS) at about $12.
I wish that were true but it's really down in the $5.20's. Meanwhile,
Woolworths (WOW) just doesn't seem to get any data at all. Although the
yahoo / amiquote method seems to produce accurate prices in AmiBroker
for a few stocks, many of them seem to be missing or simply wrong. And
it's obviously impractical to manually check 1800-odd securities so if
even one or two are erroneous, the whole database becomes worthless.

There is another method listed in one of the AmiBroker newsletters using
a chunk of java, a custom applet called URLget and a site named
australian-stockmarket.com. Unfortunately, however, this site appears to
have vanished, so it is impossible to get any data from it.

I use ComSec as my broker and they provide a facility for downloading
historical data, but it doesn't include open prices (only HLC so no
candlesticks). Also you have to do it stock by stock so it's a big job
to download the entire ASX every day!

Does anyone have any other suggestions? Or has somebody managed to get
it working with yahoo? I'd really appreciate any advice because the
software looks good but it's useless without a reliable and
comprehensive data supply!

Many thanks,

James.
