I have a short term target low at 1235 with support at 1276.  Downside pressure is overextended and price could turn up in a day or two.

My SPX target also lies in the 1100 range at 1077, however I don't think we go right there. I am looking for a duration into July 2009. (See attached price/time estimate I did last month.) In the meantime, I think we get another leg up on the rally starting from somewhere in here.

Here is a study of the  SPX.X  index using my
SquareOfNine indicator which will not necessarily
make real Gann fans all that happy because of the
way I scale the square.
 
However, in Junk1.gif we look to see what was the
size of reversals much earlier and then in Junk2.gif
we look at more recent reversals and an estimate
of where this reversal will end.
