All I see on any timeframe is lower highs and lower 
lows.  The trend is the trend until it isn't, or you change timeframes, but 
in this case not even that makes a difference.

  60 minute update; slightly detrended version of the SPX did not make new

  is following the channel path so far. daily channels are still pointing 
  south, but the hourly
