Reminds me of the old joke:

Two accountants are applying for a job.  The
first accountant walks into the office of the business owner and the owner gives
him a piece of paper with a question written on it: "What is 2 plus 2?"
The accountant writes "4" on the piece of paper and leaves.  The second
accountant walks in and is given the same question.  The accountant walks
to the office door, closes it, and asks the owner "What do you want it to
be?"

then why was he stupid enough to say, "Accounting isn't black &
white" when asked about cheneys involvemnet with
  HAL?

NW: Bush is right, accounting isn't black and
white. Everyone knows that accounting is red and black.
