Re: [RT] DTN IQ, QCharts, CBOE, eSignal and reliable stock options feed

Hello,

Thank Ira for the reply.

I use equity options quote (bid/offer price, bid/offer volume, total
volume traded, and time of sales) to test the accuracy of many
systems. Any software that can give good options quotes should do
very well in the other area - stocks, futures. Reliable Equity
options is the most difficult to get.

QCharts is just hopeless. Their data feed is at the mercy of another
party. So forget about them. Dont waste your time and money.

I was tracking the options quote on CBOE liveoption against the
bloomberg, bid/offer price and bid/offer volume is VERY GOOD. And it
cost only $20! However the TS was really hopeless.

The bid/offer price and bid/offer volume on eSignal is NOT as good as
CBOE. But the TS is quite accurate.

It is very impt to have UNFILTERED TICKS in order for options quote
to be reliable.

DTN IQ claims to have COMPLETELY UNFILTERED TICKS and state of the
art connectivity. So I just like to check with the newsgroup to
confirm.

If that is the case, DTN IQ will be very ideal for me. And it cost
only $44 a mth (paid one year in advance), excluding exchange fees.

Is there any other feed back on other systems?

Best regards,
Chuanren

I can't be sure. Could it be the speed of data reception that is
causing it? Creating congestion that good old MSFT can't handle.

Infact Ensign programmers are so good I doubt it is an Ensign
problem. It is either dtn or an internet problem. The connectivity
problem was so bad I did not sign up for the service. Connectivity
has been a major problem with dynastore and the dtn internet feed
over the last year. They just can't seem to make it work solidly
enough for use in trading.
