Seems to me that people looking for filters seldom look in the
right place for applications that are far ahead of anything else.

The filter indicated here is outstanding when you understand what
it is doing and how to set up the parameters. I do not think that
there is a more sophisticated way of varying the time period for an
average (on a continuously variable basis) than is exhibited in this
filter.
