For what it is worth, the FTC is seeking opinions on "Do Not Call" plan which they may institiute. March 29 is the deadline for comments to them about how ticked off you are about telemarketers. The FTC received 4,000 letters/email during the first week. Hate Telemarketers? Tell It to the FTC (washingtonpost.com)
Been getting calls also ,,even after I said no thanks once and just hung up
another time. I think it may have come from one of the lists,,But I do find
it annoying that the worse , rip off artist, calls I get start out by saying
, I see that you requested information from the cme or cbot for "whatever"
.. I just got one for one of the unleaded gas option scams ,, you know buy
out of the money options and make millions ,,except they are the ones
selling them to you and collecting the premium and ,,,blaa blaa blaa
I guess there is nothing to do about it except give the wrong phone number
on all requests.
My buddy up north had an airhorn he would blast into the phone ,,but that
would just scare the dogs here .
