Mikey,

C.Brown has taken the positive and negative reversals from the work of
Dr.A.Cardwell (which she has acknowledged in the book too). The same was
interpreted slightly differently by Martin Pring in his book on Market
Momentum. Pring calls it the advance breakout (negative reversal) or
breakdown (postive reversal) and says that one should sell the subsequent
move. Brown's work differs in the context that she says the previous peaks
will be exceeded in the subsequent move. From my experience (the RSI is my
main tool among oscillators), I have found Brown's (or Cardwell's rather)
interpretation to be more accurate. As to the targetting using these
methods- well, some work, some don't. I suggest you read Prings book too if
oscillator studies interest you.
