Hi Valery,
We trade a system too and we are long the the Euro
ves the US Dollar since July 25th. We are long the Swiss Franc since August 9th
and after a couple af attempt we are even long the Australian Dollar. We are
(unfortunately) flat the Japanese Yen.
Obviously your system and our got short the Dollar
around the same time.
However it seems that a lot of trader are caught
short. It's difficult to know what is the net position on currecies but at least
among European banks I speak to, it seems that there was a lot of resignation
and that they were looking for a weaker Euro. Once again they have been caught
wrong footed and they are overweighted Dollar and will have to ressess this
position... as soon as they come back from St Tropez.
As for the Yen, everybody and his brother was
short.
There should be a good time ahead for currenny
traders.
