There ins't any difference between HTML in email and HTML on web
pages. If you are worried about email, then you should be equally
worried about visiting any web page.
The real solution to this problem is two-fold. One, use an ad
blocker program. I use adFilter from http://www.adscience.co.uk/.
This program not only removes ads, but blocks the pasing of refer
information, eliminates web-bugs from HTML and has integrated cookie
control. It also has a kid filter integrated. I do beta testing for
them and the program works well. It's free to try and $24.95 to
register.
The other thing to do is to setup your security zones in IE/Outlook
correctly.
