Liffe/Nasdaq in alliance on single stock futures
LONDON, March 26 (Reuters) - The London International Financial Futures
Exchange and Nasdaq on Monday unveiled a
transatlantic partnership in individual stock futures, intended to
increase the global appeal of the recently-launched products.
The initiative came ahead of regulatory changes that will for the first
time enable U.S. investors to trade single stock futures, and is
the latest example of collaboration between international exchanges.
Liffe and Nasdaq will form a U.S.-regulated entity, which will list
single stock futures on global companies for trading through
LIFFE's electronic trading platform Connect -- already host to the
25 Universal Stock Futures launched by Liffe in January.
