Thanks for the link. Which pci cards would be the best choice for additional
monitors? Is there a particular chipset or amount of ram to look for?

I would suspect the CompUSA card. I failed adding an extra monitor with a
generic card, and succeeded with a Matrox card. You can buy PCI Matrox
Millenium I or II cards for about $50 (check www.pricewatch.com).

Subject: [RT] gen: 4th monitor
Greetings,
I know many of you have experience with multl. dislplays.
I am running 3 monitors, one agp, two pci, using win. 98.
I tried adding a 4th card in my last pci slot and windows said that "One or
more of your video accelerators is not compatable with multiple displays..."
Is it conclusive that only some video cards are able work with mult.
displays or is this possibly some internal problem with windows not being
able to handle a 4th monitor?
The two extra cards pci cards I am currently running are manafactured by
A-Open.
The video card I tried to use for the 4th monitor was a generic 8 meg. Comp
USA brand.
Any ideas here folks? Do I need to find a different card? If so which
ones work?
Help, please. I do not want to fork out 4 to 5 hundred bucks for an appian
or matrox card. I would rather spend 50 to 100 bucks for one more pci video
card.
Thanks alot all.
