I've used both AGet and DT v's 2 and 3 as well as an early version of
another EW product from Australia. AG and DT are quite different and I
never did warm to the other one.

DT is oriented to manual identification of EW counts and requires that
the analyst draw swing lines on the charts, then perform manual
labeling. The analyst also selects the projection/retracement tools
according to the wave which is being analyzed which often provides
better accuracy than AG counts. DT has a good set of time tools as well
as general drawing tools. Miner's Dynamic Trading book (included) and
documentation is of excellent quality - if you purchase nothing else buy
the book ($100). I had v2 and the v3 beta plus early official releases
and encountered enough software problems (and found the head programmer
flaky enough) that I finally gave up and returned the software 6 months
after I purchased it for $1750. Bob Miner is an individual of high
integrity and did not hesitate to issue a full refund. That was probably
6 months ago - best bet is to try it and see if you like it.

AG is oriented to automatic identification of EW counts using a primary
or one of 3 alternate settings, however the analyst must be alert to the
fact that the counts may be either wrong or subsequently revised. In any
event, AG provides a good and convenient starting point which should not
be used blindly. The drawing tools are good however DT has better time
tools. AG documentation leaves a lot to be desired and much is not
disclosed, even on the optional video tapes. AG also has some bugs (e.g.
volume, open interest, and OBV are dead wrong on weekly and monthly
charts) and I've found "support" to be generally poor in responding to
file format and bug issues. There is no MB guarantee with AG so if you
buy it ($2800), plan on keeping it or reselling it for around half
price. For those set on acquiring AG, I recommend buying a legal used
license for half price (price should include the $500 cost of bringing
to current version if older) and doing the license transfer for $100 so
it is eligible for future upgrades. Generally, I find AG meets my needs
and it has become my primary trading platform. I wish the company had a
more customer oriented attitude toward the sale and support of its
software.
