The April, 2000 Futures magazine page 12
has a small 4"x4" chart depicitng the NYSE
stockmarket breadth vs. Annual Conceptions.

The caption notes that... "Some say the trend in
stocks is the result of Baby Boomers" (as a %
of the investing population),...but then quotes
a Steve Hochberg of Elliott Wave Intnl. as saying
"it's more likely that Baby Boomers are the result
of a booming stock market". He says annual conceptions
(backdated one year), plotted against NYSE A-D line
or all stocks shows a 74 year correlation.

I was just wondering if anyone on RT is aware of this
different version of the Harry Dent demographics thesis,..
or knows of any studies (online?) which examine the
correlation between the rate of annual conceptions and
the overall stock market. Any feedback appreciated.
