Michael:
I think that you are the exception rather than the rule if you find yourself
more successful when trading when you are mad. Generally when a person
feels that they "must recover a loss" is when they add to the previous loss.
The "get even" feeling rarely works in trading.
Deciding to take the middle part of a move, instead of the entire move, is
wise and might be helping you more with your good results then when you are
trading with negative emotions.
Work on looking at your losses as the cost of doing business and continue
being content with capturing 40-60% of a move. If you are able to do that I
think you will find yourself taking more of the other guy's money (whoever
the other guy happens to be.) Do me a favor and promise that it won't be
me!
Chris
