I purchased JD's workshop on tape $400+- about a decade ago and found it
very worth while - have never used the software. I read Dynamic Trading by
Bob Minor www.dynamictraders.com this spring and found the content even more
useful - didn't care for the software. Both books deal with fib objectives,
however the DT book complements the fib techniques with simplified EW and
basic entry/exit patterns which are very practical. The JD book complements
the fib techniques with a displaced MA which did not stand up for me in
extensive back testing and a proprietary (undisclosed) Oscillator Predictor.
The fib techniques used by both authors are very worthwhile and can be
accomplished with the fib retracement and projection tools found in most
software. The DT fib time techniques are not so easily done without the
software, however they can be approximated by drawing swing lines and moving
them to the next pivot. I highly recommend the DT book for $100 and it comes
with a MB guarantee.
