There is no single "manual" on the stock market.  The stock market is not 
like a car.

Trading successfully requires the ability to understand and synthesize the 
following 1. Money management and risk control 2. Your own psychology; 3. 
mass psychology, 4. What prices and volume movement means to the market and 
it long and short participants (mass psych again), and 5. The ability to 
take action.

My three favorite stock market books are: 1.  Reminiscences of a Stock 
Operator; 2. How to make money in Stocks; 3. How I made $2,000,000 in the 
stock market.
