I apologize for entering this thread so late, but for those who are into
longterm views of the market, the book is: "THE ROARING 2000s" by
Harry S. Dent,Jr. It was just published and is available from
Amazon.com.
All the referenced (here) charts on demographics are from that book.
His earlier book, published at the beginning of this bull market,
projected Dow at 8000.
As a side comment: Japan's population is quite older than ours and their
market peaked ten years ago. Could it be that it was also the peak of
their buying and spending cycle?
