Adrian -

I would be interested to know what your wave count is for the S&P. Ned
sent me his count. I agree it is more likely a-b-c-d-e as Tom Stein
noted, but (4) is probably where it belongs. I also have a problem with
the placement of (1), though I suspect (2) is correct. I'd suspect (2)
was a double three with the first an irregular.

As for alternation, maybe your experience in stocks is different than
mine in bonds. But, as one of the top rated technicians in the US in the
bond market, I have found it better to find an a-b-c count or triangle
that completes and not worry too much about alternation, especially if
classical indicators suggest a resumption of the trend. Every time I
have a disagreement with somebody over 2s and 4s, it is because I did
not worry about alternation. And, those are high among the times I am
more right than the others.

I have read Neely's book too. He re-does Elliott and in fact, almost all
of us do have our own ways of interpreting it.

One final comment. Either you do not write very well, or you are just
plain obnoxious. Just because somebody disagrees with you does not make
them stupid or necessarily wrong. To suggest that maybe my counts are
incorrect, or that I see five wave patterns everywhere, without knowing
what my work is, shows your ignorance. Even your post to Ned should have
been stated more like: "Ned, the c-wave does not APPEAR to be five waves
to me. Maybe either wave-4 is still not complete, or it is an a-b-c-d-e
pattern." Tom Stein and I disagreed with a count on bonds yesterday. We
both explained our reasons and left at that. It was adult.
