         INVESTOR SENTIMENT SURVEY

                 5 / 25 / 98

------------------------------------------------

Below are the results of our weekly "Guess the Dow" sentiment survey. The
survey was taken from 5/17 through 5/24 on our web site.

Number of participants: 352

30 day outlook:

23% bullish, 31% last week
42% bearish, 42% last week
35% neutral, 27% last week

(percentages may not sum to 100 due to rounding)

Median guess for the DJIA closing value on Friday, 5/29: 9067 (it was
9100 last week). More complete sentiment data is available at
<http://www.lowrisk.com/sentiment.htm> .

Another week with EXTREMELY bearish sentiment. The DJIA actually squeaked
out a small gain last week, yet bullish sentiment dropped 8% from its
already low level to end at 23%. Bearish sentiment stayed even at 42%.
Apparently all the bulls moved to neutral, as neutral sentiment rose to
35%. Last week we felt the sentiment numbers were very bullish and the
market did go up after the panic lows on Monday. This weeks numbers are
even more bullish. Also, we usually look at a relatively high neutral
reading of 35% as warning of a possible large move.
