I've recently been working with Walter Bressert's RSI-M3 indicator.
It's a 3-period moving average of a 3-period RSI; he describes it in
his March '98 TASC interview. It's not the Holy Grail (if anyone out
there has found it, please let me know), but it does seem to turn on a
dime and and you may find it useful. You might adjust the periods if
it's not doing exactly what you want.
