To answer all of the private email I am receiving concerning my
Time/Price charts based on "Symmetrics"
The software I use to create these charts is WaveWi$e market spreadsheet
from Jerome Technology http://members.aol.com/jtiware/
This was the only package I found that was versatile enough to plot this
type of chart. This is a toolbox type program and the code had to be
written
to create these charts, much like EasyLanguage code is required for
Tradestation.
Symmetrics was developed by Joe Rondinone and
to my knowledge, there is no website for Symmetrics and
the folks at Symmetrics sell a course but not software.
Robert Krausz apparently owns the software rights for Symmetrics
but longer sells it but informed me last week that he uses Symmetrics
every day in his own trading but no longer teaches it in public.
What this does is add a time element to bar charts and allows charts
to be automatically self-adjusting time/price charts.
In other time/price charting methods it is required to determine
how many time units to use to obtain a squared chart
ie: Is it 12 cents per day for Beans ? 10 cents ?
5 points for the S&P ? 1 point ??
This is not a factor with Symmetrics as all charts on all timeframes
are self-adjusting.
