I know what you mean. The stuff I read by Eng I got out of the library
a few years ago and as I remember it seemed pretty straight ahead. If
my memory serves me correctly he was less interested in selling a
"concept" and more in concentrating on general trading strategy or tech.
analysis. Wade Cook is especially revolting and his radio ads drive me
insane. In educating myself on how to trade I have favored books like
COMPUTER ANALYSIS OF THE FUTURES MARKET by LeBeau and Lucas, anything by
John Murphy or any book that objectively and in an educational sense
describes and explains the tools one might use to trade with. Anyone
with an infomercial or a bookcover touting a "trade yourself from rags
to riches" message is highly suspect.
