Traders,
I took our 30 minute data (it goes back to middle of 1996)
and ran 5 bar smoothing on it and looked at SwingMachine
results.
SM found 36 previous swings at comparable points in the
market. When averaged into 3 sets we got a very clear
difference. Two of the 3 swings projected a reversal in
the morning and new highs for the OEX tomorrow. Only
1/3 of the swings predicted lower prices and price action
that is typical of tops.
