Dick,

I am happy to report the last 5 months with Dreyfus Brokerage (previously Pacific
Brokerage) has been very good. Trading the index and equity options is quick and
painless. I use BMI real time cable datafeed and am aware of the current bid ask
prices. So when I send an order to execute a trade, it is usually confirmed in a
matter of seconds to maybe a few minutes.

There have been 3 short term glitches with their servers, but I was able to place
the order on the 800 line. The only REAL problem was 10/28/97, when I could not
get through for many hours, and after the rally really subsided. However, I
understand it was a industry problem that day for most brokerage houses.

Customer service has been polite, friendly and efficient.

I would recommend them.

Good Luck,

David Chan
