Brown & Co. has served me very well for 4 years with stocks only. Commisions
are $19 a trade by voice or computer. They're part of Chase Manhattan Bank.
They have a 1-800 computer line which works well but I prefer to speak to a
broker. I generally call Minneapolis - they're much less hurried and patient
then the coastal brokers.
I've asked them when they will have a presence on the Web. They answer
sonetime in the first quarter (a buyout perhaps?)
