Traders,

Below are the results of our weekly "Guess the Dow"
sentiment survey. The survey was taken from 7/21 thru 7/27
on our web site. If you would like to participate in this
weeks survey/contest, stop by

30 day outlook:

53% bullish, 58% last week
20% bearish, 17% last week
27% neutral, 25% last week

(percentages may not sum to 100 due to rounding)

Average guess for the DJIA closing value on Friday, 8/1:
8015 (it was 8020 last week). More complete sentiment data
is available at <http://www.lowrisk.com/sentiment.htm> .

This week's sentiment numbers were similar to last week's
and again strongly bullish. The bulls dropped 5% and the
bears picked up 3%. Neutral sentiment rose by 2%. While
bearish sentiment appears low and bullishness rampant, we do
find it interesting that we actually had a few more bears
this week in the face of the market exploding higher last
week. These are the types of divergences we like to look for
to glean some information our "Guess the Dow" data. Of
course the tilt towards the bears was ever so slight and is
tempered by the absolute numbers - bulls still heavily
outweigh the bears.

We have three sponsors for our contest this week. Weekly
winners will now receive a two month subscription to the
Early Bird Club at the Short Term Stock Selector AND a one
year subscription to The Blue Star List AND a one year
subscription to Jack's Picks.
