Henri,

Assumption is the mother of all *uckups.
I did read the manual. When that didn't
work I decided to reach out the the group.
I have over 15yrs. of IT exp., so believe
it or not, I'm not a complete moron.
Thanks for the sarcasm nonetheless.

FYI, to you, the MANUAL states:

"it will make an EXACT copy of every bit and byte."
>>INCORRECT. YOU CAN MAKE TWO ALTERATIONS IN GHOSTING,
AND IT WILL NOT BE AN EXACT IMAGE.

"Therefore it will take up more space than just 11MB"
>>WITH STANDARD COMPRESSION IS IT ONLY 7.7MB, and
the decrement to copy speed is negligible.

"But i have not worked with it for a long time...."
>>This is obvious. And again why I was asking those
on the List that ARE knowledgeable in the specifics.
I was already thorough in my review of printed
materials. and Tech. Supp. couldn't even figure it
out. A good indication that the user Isn't a complete
idiot.

"probably also just make a ghost of the files that are
in use."
>>INCORRECT. When backing up to CD/DVD+ROMs, you
can only make a FULL BACKUP. Guess what, IT'S IN
THE MANUAL.

"lots of happy ghost users"
>>I doubt it. However, I try not to make baseless
"assumptions"

"the problem is between the keyboard and the chair"

>>Recommendation: Next time someone is fustrated
with a personal project and reaches out to others
for help. Make a mental note FWIW, don't make a point
to INSULT them in front of a group of their peers.

good day.
