many many thanks to all who replied...all is well now...i don't know what
happened, but i suspect a quirk in the dtn network since i did do anything
except go to bed :-)...funny how it didn't affect all, but only a few...

anyone else having problems this sunday evening / monday morning with ds
dtn-iqfeed (20040116 version)? login verification is ok, but the iqfeed
engine will not connect with any of the dtn servers on their network. i
don't know if it's a ds or dtn problem. all was well friday . thanks...
