TS8 array size and calc speed

Hi gang,

Why would increasing the size of an array, without populating the array in
any way or doing any calculations to it, cause a dramatic slowdown in calc
speed? This is what I am experiencing. A tl-drawing indicator has a number
of large multi-dimensional arrays. If I increase the size of an array, the
calc time seems to increase almost correspondingly, even though the added
array cells are not used...just sitting there. Very low mem use...not an
issue. I'm baffled, would appreciate any advice.
