If you are able to acquire the data of interest, and format it in a text
file like this:
Date,Time,Open,High,Low,Close,Volume
09/02/2003,1600,28.85,28.89,27.95,28.62,3178300
09/03/2003,1600,28.92,29.02,28.15,28.29,3874500
09/04/2003,1600,28.43,28.55,28.05,28.09,2936000
09/05/2003,1600,28.09,28.39,27.85,27.99,2748100

then you can access it via the new capabilities of ELCollections and ADE
which are available on the TradeStation customer support site. It would not
surprise me to find that the typical TS sales rep is not yet aware of these
capabilities.
ELCollections and ADE are third party, free, add-ons provided to the TS
community by one of our very talented and generous members.
You need to be aware that learning to use these packages is an extra step
you'd need to go through to get where you want to be. The more programming
ability you bring to the effort, the quicker and easier it will be.
Also, keep in mind, you need the data itself. The responsibility of getting
it and keeping it formatted and ready will be all yours. ;^)

P.S. A full discussion of ELCollections and ADE is way beyond what I have
time to provide. However, I saw your question and I wanted to give you a

Hello List,
Bob Fulk's glowing commentary has caused me to
consider following the upgrade path for my 2000i.
I talked to a couple of sales rep's on Fri and was
told TS8 cannot use 3rd party data such as CSI UA (UA
contains some offbeat data series such as COT & econ
data that I use).
Since I can envision a TS sales rep being less than
completely educated on their product, I decided to
pose this question to the real experts here on the
list.
Can TS8 use 3rd party data such as CSI UA?
