FWIW, I've convinced myself that Elliott waves are simply the sum of a
sine wave (cycle), another sine wave with 4x the frequency or 1/4 the
period, and a linear trendline. Here's an artificial combination of
those three elements to demonstrate the point. Looks a lot like Elliott,
yes? Now, if you believe those three elements are an accurate model of
the market, then Elliott may have some value. Personally, I don't
believe that and I've moved on.
